America's Best-Selling Car Just Got Cool as 2018 Camry Marks Beginning of New Generation

For over a decade, the Toyota Camry has been the best-selling passenger car in America. But it wasn't popular because it was fun. It outsold sportier, sleeker competitors because its reputation for reliability was untouchable. The Camry is a sedan you can drive, and drive, and keep on driving without worrying about major breakdowns. It's highly fuel-efficient and affordable to boot.

Toyota is about to launch the eighth generation of this popular model, and while they're keeping all of the things that make it so well-loved today, it's about time for it to stop being a workhorse, and start being sexy.

In a press release celebrating the 2018 Camry's fast-approaching on-sale date, Bill Fay, Toyota senior vice president of automotive operations explained what buyers have to look forward to:

“With an exhilarating design, refined interior, stirring driving performance, cutting-edge safety and technology, and class-leading fuel efficiency, the all-new Camry retains its excellent value while raising its level of fun and excitement to new heights. It is, quite simply, the best Camry ever and the benchmark in the mid-size sedan segment.”
