Toyota Triumphs All at IntelliChoice's '2011 Best Overall Value of the Year Awards'

Toyota led all brands at the IntelliChoice 2011 Overall Value of the Year Awards. In total, the Japanese automaker took home seven awards for its new vehicle lineup. Toyota Motor Sales is responsible for Lexus as well, which dominated all luxury makes with a total of four trophies. Together Toyota and Lexus vehicles garnered over half of the trophies awarded at the ceremony and 11 top honors.

In response to receiving the awards, Don Esmond, Senior Vice President of Automotive Operations, Toyota Motor Sales, USA said, "Dominating the IntelliChoice's 2011 Best Overall Value Awards is another example of how Toyota and Lexus continue to produce vehicles that retain their outstanding value. In a tough economy, finding a dependable vehicle that also holds its value over an extended period of time is one of the most important aspects of buying a car."¹

To win the IntelliChoice Best Overall Value of the Year Awards, Toyota had to pass a stringent evaluation of all top vehicles in 21 categories that represent the best overall value. Toyota beat out its competitors when it was analyzed on ownership costs, including: depreciation, maintenance, repairs, fuel, fees, financing, and insurance.
