The Toyota FT-86 is almost here, and Toyota needs your help to spread the word! Our favorite Japanese automaker is asking drivers in the greater Salem area and beyond to capture a pic of the FT-86 and upload it to the "FT-86 World Report" website. The site then takes fan pictures and compiles them into one streaming montage, which showcases the new rear-wheel drive coupe prowling the streets.

How does Toyota expect us to take pictures of an unreleased vehicle? Rather than having a few concept models roaming the streets to be photographed by a lucky few, the new "FT-86 World Report" iPhone app lets users digitally impose the FT-86 onto any picture taken with the phone's camera. This results in the FT-86 showing up in some interesting locals. So, make sure to keep an eye on the streaming video as it's evolving with every upload.

As for the Toyota FT-86 itself... it's actually the combined effort of Toyota, Scion, and Subaru. Each automaker is planning to release their own variant of the model, with its own name and style. While we might be a little bias as a Toyota dealer, we honestly think that the FT-86 features the most unique and aggressive styling of the three variants, the other two being the FR-S and the BRZ.

If you'd like to learn more about the FT-86, then be sure to stay tuned, as there are sure to be more details coming soon as we approach the Tokyo Motor Show. Of course, if you're interested in any of the other new Toyota models that Capitol Toyota carries here at 2575 Mission Street SE, Salem, OR, 97301, then there's no need to wait, as you can easily arrange a test drive by contacting us online or by calling at 1-888-459-7024.
