Each year, the collective brain trust at MIT puts together at list of the 50 Most Disruptive Companies, and Toyota made the list. That might sound like a dubious honor, but it's hardly the case. Just allow us at Capitol Toyota to explain.
In this case, "disruptive" is 100 percent positive. MIT interprets it as a company that's at the forefront of its respective industry, and forces other businesses to alter their direction. Basically, Toyota has been doing so many good things, from the new Toyota lineup, to the technology onboard and underneath the hood, that others are having to adapt to keep up.
So, what exactly stood out to the folks at MIT about Toyota?
Well, they referenced the automaker's expansive hybrid lineup and its ability to remain at the top in terms of quality, particularly the new Prius Plug-In Hybrid. Toyota was one of just two automotive companies to crack the list, and it's the second time in four years our favorite car maker has been honored by MIT.
If you'd like to see why, feel free to stop by Capitol Toyota during our regular business hours, or contact us online anytime. We'd be happy to showcase the Prius Plug-In Hybrid along with other eco-friendly models like the Camry Hybrid and Highlander Hybrid here at 783 Auto Group Avenue in Salem, OR. We have a team of specialists who can answer any questions you might have on particular models, and set up test drives in models that grab your attention.
