What do IIHS safety tests entail?
In order to be named a TOP SAFETY PICK+, a vehicle must meet several criteria. It must pass five crash tests which assess passenger protection from all sides of the vehicle, gain an advanced or superior rating for forward collision warnings and automatic braking systems, and an acceptable or good rating for headlights.
