5. Basic Coverage

Your Toyota will be covered by Basic Coverage for three years or 36,000 miles--whichever comes first. This covers all components, with certain exceptions: maintenance items aren't covered, and neither is wear and tear. Rather, this is designed to cover the cost of parts and labor if a factory component has a defect that causes it to fail. Furthermore, wheel alignment and wheel balancing are only covered for one year or 12,000 miles.

4. Powertrain Coverage

The Powertrain Coverage for your Toyota lasts even longer: five years or 60,000 miles. This covers components like the engine, transmission, front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive system, seatbelts, and airbags. The high quality of Toyota engineering means that defects in these components are incredibly rare. However, if something should go wrong, the warranty should take care of it.

3. Rust-Through Coverage

A car that has rust damage certainly isn't attractive, but it's more than just a cosmetic issue. If left unfixed, rust can eventually eat away more of your vehicle, potentially attacking the frame itself over time. The rust-through coverage from Toyota will cover perforation of sheet metal due to corrosion. Even better, it doesn't matter how many miles you put on your Toyota: this coverage will last for five years.

2. Emissions Coverage

If your vehicle has a defect that causes it to fail an emissions test, it may be covered by this warranty. This covers a variety of components, including the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, fuel tank, and other parts. Most of these components are covered for three years or 36,000 miles. However, a few components (including the engine control module, the catalytic converter, the data link connector, and the malfunction indicator light) are covered for eight years or 80,000 miles.

1. Bonus: Hybrid Warranty

If you have a hybrid Toyota vehicle, the battery will be covered for eight years or 80,000 miles. In addition to the hybrid battery, this warranty covers the battery control module, hybrid control module, and inverter with converter. This impressive warranty is just one more reason to choose a hybrid from Toyota!
