The Japanese automaker has eight plants spread throughout North America. It was discovered that the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK), which has been producing the redesigned 2013 Toyota Avalon has in fact produced the 25 millionth vehicle.
The 25th million vehicle was a 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid. The sedan was silver in color and came off the assembly line to a celebratory applause during a special ceremony honoring the employees of TMMK.
Steve St. Angelo, the executive V.P of Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing had, this to say about the milestone "Toyota's 25 millionth vehicle signifies the tireless work of thousands of Toyota team members, hundreds of North American supplier partners, and great dealers giving their best every day." 1
