At Capitol Toyota, we enjoy providing readers with information regarding new Toyota vehicle upgrades and new technology. The Japanese automaker isn't always content with making high quality vehicles. Toyota wants to change the world and make it better for everyone.
Toyota recently awarded three innovative and forward thinking women with $150,000 in grants at the Women in the World Summit - this event attracts prominent figures like Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Street, Hillary Clinton and many other important women. Each 'Mother of Innovation' got a $50,000 grant to use for their projects, these projects range from community-based initiatives to helping prevent food spoilage.
We here at Capitol Toyota think this is very impressive, but this isn't all that Toyota gave to the 'Mothers of Innovation'. Toyota understands that there are a ton of other great ideas out there that might go unrecognized, the Japanese automaker also gave each winner an extra $15,000 grant to give to another cause of their choice.
After news of this broke at our dealership there was already a great deal of speculation about how Toyota might participate in next year's summit. Until then, we encourage you to say tuned to our blog to learn more about how Toyota is making a difference in our world. Our dealership is conveniently located at 783 Auto Group Avenue in Salem, OR, we encourage you to stop by and check out our new Toyota inventory for yourself. Our friendly sales staff is more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the vehicle you're interested in.
