Loyal readers of the Capitol Toyota blog will recall that we were quite excited when Toyota teased the Furia concept ahead of the Detroit Auto Show. As the speculation swirled, we counted down the days to the big reveal, and we must say, it didn't disappoint.

Driving across the stage in the Motor City, the Furia showcased a swept windshield, sloped roofline, and pronounced fender flares. That's just a sampling, too. There's plenty more to love about the new Furia concept.

Of course, one of the big questions prior to the official launch was which new Toyota model it would go into production as. Well, for those of you who guessed the Toyota Corolla, give yourself a hearty pat on the back, because you were correct.

With the "Iconic Dynamism" theme at the forefront of the design process, the Furia looks to give the Corolla a youthful and provocative appeal. Just based on the exterior, they've certainly done a good job with that, and generated quite a bit of buzz.

We'll be sure to track the progress of the Furia and when we can see its design applied to the Corolla here on our blog, so stay tuned for the latest updates.

In the meantime, if you'd like to check out popular models like the Camry or the refreshed Toyota Avalon, stop in and see us at Capitol Toyota, located at 783 Auto Group Avenue in Salem, OR. We're always happy to answer questions and set up a test drive in a vehicle that interests you.
