If you're an avid Toyota fan and keep up to date on all the latest news, you probably know that the Toyota Corolla is due for a new design for the 2014 model year. Earlier this year there was a concept teaser, which was awesome and encouraging, but today we have some details that we'd like to share with you.
To begin, some of the features of the Furia concept that we saw at the Detroit Auto Show will be integrated in the new Corolla's design. The new Corolla will also take a few cues from another popular Toyota model, the Camry. To start, the vehicle will come with a 1.8-liter, four cylinder engine with Valvematic continuously variable valve timing. The automatic transmission will also have four speeds, and the manual will come with six gears. This is all we know thus far about the Corolla, the current model year produces 132 horsepower along with 128 pound-feet of torque for comparison's sake.
We anticipate more details being release in the coming days, we'll be sure to keep posted on our blog once we learn more.
If you haven't seen the current edition of the Toyota Corolla, we encourage you to stop by our Toyota showroom in Salem, OR. We can share information about its features and even set you up with a test drive if you decide you're interested in it.
