There's a lot of buzz in the green-car world about the 2017 Prius Prime. What's so "prime" about it? Unlike the Toyota Prius, which is a conventional hybrid, the Prius Prime is a plug-in hybrid. That means users may plug it in to an outlet to give the battery additional charge, just like an electric car. On one full battery charge, the 2017 Prius Prime can drive up to 25 miles on pure electricity.
That's just one of the reasons Kelley Blue Book calls it a Best Buy of 2017 in the Electric/Hybrid category.
"With 90 years of trust in providing the auto industry with data, and decades of providing car shoppers with valuable information, Kelley Blue Book takes great pride in identifying the new vehicles that our experts believe to be the absolute best-value choices for new-car shoppers -- and the new 2017 Prius Prime indisputably takes first place with its innovation and efficiency for the Electric/Hybrid category." -- Jack Nerad, executive editorial director, Kelley Blue Book.
