To the naked eye both the 4Runner and the Sequoia appear similar in size at first glance, however there are some distinct differences. The 2022 Toyota 4Runner comes standard with 17" alloy wheels, while the 2022 Toyota Sequoia is just a hair larger with 18" standard alloy wheels, and both have available 20" wheels at higher trim levels. The Sequoia edges out the 4Runner as far as ground clearance, maxing out at 10-inches of ground clearance while the 4Runner is 9.6-inches off the ground. Windshield wiper de-icer, LED fog lights and a power liftgate with jam protection are standard fare on both models. Auto up/down and rear liftgate window defogger with timer and UV protection as well as roof rails are both only available with the 4Runner. The Sequoia has a standard power tilt/slide moonroof with sliding sunshade, available with higher trim levels on the 4Runner.
