We believe that there are two parts to Toyota’s ability to outlive so many cars on the road: 1. Initial quality as mentioned above and 2. Proper car care. Yes, you as a car owner play a role in how long your car’s life will last!
- Follow a maintenance schedule religiously. Your car is likely to come with one.
- Get regular oil changes, about every three months if you drive every day.
- Tire rotations will not only allow your tires to last longer, an aligned car is a happy car.
- Check your fluids, especially oil, regularly.
- Listen to your car! If you’re hearing odd noises, it may be time to visit a service center.
We can’t guarantee that you’re going to get 350,000 miles out of your Toyota after following this maintenance schedule, but it’s worth a try, right?
